“ Found out about this spot online, listed as one of the best Mexican places is town (and Woodland has quite a few). A little out of the way (even for Woodland), but worth the detour. Be forwarned though that Zitio is primarily a bar...not a restaurant. We brought our 12 yo with us, but it was early enough in the afternoon, so I'm not sure how the nights would be. No table service, everything is ordered at the bar. Tacos and burritos were on point (we got asada and birria), and the beer selection was ok (Panic on tap if you like IPAs). Food menu is somewhat limited, but it all seemed high quality. There are many choices for Mexican in Woodland, but Zitio deserves the high marks it receives. We will be back, next time without the minors. ”
“ I kept seeing posts on social media about Zitio's fabulous tacos, so the hubby and I swung by to give them a try. The place is pretty sparse inside--definite bar-scene feel. It was super loud out on the patio, so we chose not to stay and eat. Inside, there are a handful of tables, but really close to the full bar, so I didn't get the feeling the indoor space was family friendly. For that reason, we ordered our food to go and didn't try any adult beverages. The menu is simple and not expensive, but I'm good with that, especially if what they do offer is high quality. We were more than satisfied with the flavor of our tacos (crispy and street, asada and adobada) and vampiro. What impressed me the most was how crunchy they remained even after after drive home. Kudos to Zitio's for packaging in cardboard containers that absorb moisture so your crispy food stays crispy! The cheese quesadilla was okay, probably could have been blistered a bit more, and the hot sauce was tasty goodness--the right amount of flavor and fire. We will be back for sure. ”
